What's up y'all?!

I'm Brooke...

A Texas mom of two wonderful girls that keep her busy with their full social lives, extra curricular activities and basically whatever they decide the 3 of them should do on a day to day basis! Brooke has been accidentally training for this podcast since she was a kid binge-watching Dateline, Unsolved Mysteries, and Cold Case Files. Brooke used to think something was wrong with her because she couldn’t get enough of unsolved cases, criminal psychology, and paranormal stories. Turns out… there’s a whole community of people just like her! Inspired by podcasts like My Favorite Murder, Morbid, and so many others, Brooke finally decided to stop talking back to her car speakers or to people who would slowly back away when she spoke of serial killers and start her own show with Jenn. Brookes favorite pastimes include any documentary, hanging out with her fam, wine nights with Jenn and diving head first into rabbit holes!! Maybe one day on the podcast, Brooke will share how she is kinda in a weird way "linked" to an infamous cult leader from the 80s & 90s!

Jenn's obsession with true crime started in the 90's, huddled around the TV with her family watching Unsolved Mysteries. Nowadays she watches every documentary on every platform possible, and if you see an earbud in her ear, she is most definitely listening to a murder podcast. While being on the other side of the podcasting world with Brooke was unexpected, it's been an exciting addition to her weekly routine. She believes the key to the millennial midlife crisis is to revisit what gave her joy in her childhood - music, dancing, and true crime. As a life long dancer and musician, Jenn is also part of a dance performance company and plays the flute in the local community band. She lives in North Texas with her husband and two amazing young boys.

...and I'm Jenn
...and this is the story of Pretty Twisted Podcast

Every great true crime story starts with a twist… and so does ours. Brooke and Jenn met in 2023 on a school field trips their kids were on. Somewhere between chasing kids around and making small talk, they realized Brooke was about to move into the house directly across the street from Jenn. Naturally, neighbor conversations turned into real conversations, and before long, a friendship was born.
Then came the question.
One day, Brooke cautiously asked, “So… like… do you like true crime at all?”
Jenn’s eyes got huge.
“YESSSSS!”
From that moment on, there was no turning back. The two quickly discovered they weren’t just casual listeners—they were completely fascinated by true crime. They swapped stories about what first hooked them, debated cases, talked about hauntings, conspiracies, and even realized they share their own incredibly twisted connection to a real-life case.
For Brooke, this was years in the making. She had dreamed of starting a true crime podcast for as long as she could remember. She always believed there were people out there who would happily listen to her obsess over unsolved mysteries, criminal psychology, hauntings, conspiracy theories, and all the bizarre rabbit holes that come with them.
In 2026, she finally asked Jenn, “What would you think about starting a podcast together?”
Thankfully, Jenn didn’t hesitate and dove head first into this new endeavor!
Together they created an unscripted—but thoroughly researched—podcast that’s equal parts conversation, compassion, and outrage. Every episode is centered around the victims whose stories deserve to be told, while giving absolutely zero respect to the monsters responsible for these horrific crimes. You’ll hear empathy where it belongs, righteous anger where it’s deserved, and the occasional laugh between two friends who genuinely love talking about the cases that keep us all awake at night.
We know there are already some incredible true crime podcasts out there.
But let’s be honest…
Has any true crime fan ever said, “Nah… I think I’ve listened to enough true crime podcasts?"
Exactly.
So welcome to ours. Grab a drink, settle in, and join two neighbors-turned-best-friends as we dive into the cases that deserve to be remembered—and make sure the victims’ voices are always louder than the criminals’ names
